Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's children was born in Woodland Hills, California in 1956. Her father worked as an elementary school teacher, and her mother as a stay at home mom. Her older brothers are: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick began performing and singing at a very young age. Following her win in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was 6 an old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see whether McCormick was interested in getting into the entertainment industry. McCormick landed her first major work in 1964, when she starred in a commercial on television for Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. The following year she appeared in another commercial for Mattels Chatty Cathy doll and was soon cast in the play The Wind It Up And It Breaks in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned for the role of the youngest daughter of the three towheaded girls on The Brady Bunch. The show featured Florence Henderson, Robert Reed and a blended family. This show lasted for five years. In her memoir Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice published in 2008 McCormick revealed that during the shows fifth season she almost lost her virginity due to her onscreen co-star and brother Barry Williams. At the time, she was just 16 years old and he was 19. It would have happened she said but the timing wasn't the right time for us.
